After HP’sElite x3Windows 10 Mobile phone finallyhit the online US Microsoft Store on September 26th, the flagship handset is now expected to become available to purchase at Microsoft’s 100-plus US retails stores starting October 10th. Peter Han, VP of OEM Worldwide Marketing at Microsoft announced the news to our colleagues atPCMagearlier today. There are reports thatthe phone is already availablein some Microsoft Stores, you might want to check your local store.
So far, the Elite x3 has been marketed by HP as a“3-in-1” business-focused handsetthanks toHP Workspace, a premium service that leverages Citrix app-virtualization to allow business users to run legacy Windows apps in Continuum mode. Other enterprise features include Bitlocker 128-bit encryption, Intune MDM and Reset protection and HP’s Secure Boot malware prevention.
Windows Phone enthusiasts could also be interested in the handset’s premium design, Snapdragon 820 processor, 5.96-inch 2560×1440 AMOLED display and fingerprint sensor. However, at $799 (Desk dock included) the flagship phone is not really more affordable than Apple’s iPhones or other premium Android phones.
If you happen to live near a Microsoft Store, are you looking forward to get a hands-on experience with the HP Elite x3? Sound off in the comments if you’re excited by the expanded availability of the handset.
