Cortana is a powerful virtual assistant. With it, you can perform many actions inWindows 10, just by saying a few words. But Microsoft is never fully satisfied with its products, therefore the company keeps updating Cortana by introducing new features every now and then.

Withthe latest Preview build for Windows 10, Microsoft introduces a handful of new features and improvements for Cortana. One of the additions is a new option that allows you to turn off your computer simply by tellingCortanato do so.

So, in case you hands are busy at the moment, you don’t need to stop what you’re doing to turn off your computer. Instead, say “Hey Cortana, turn off my computer” and she’ll take care of everything. This command doesn’t only work for turning off a computer but for other power options, as well. You can use Cortana to restart your computer and put it to sleep, for example.

The ability to turn off and restart your computer with Cortana is only available for Windows Insiders running at least Preview build 14986 for now. Microsoft will make this command, along with other new features and improvements, available to the public withthe Creators Update. According to the company, the Creators Update for Windows 10 should arrive in spring 2017.

Besides the ability to turn off your computer with Cortana, the latest build also introduces music playback with Cortana in Windows 10.
