Xiaomi has officially announced the upgraded, 4G version of their Mi Notebook Air lineup in China just weeks ahead of the CES 17 during a small event. The device was first introduced on July 27 and was seen as Xiaomi’s official entry into the notebook market.

It is now, almost six months later, thatXiaomiis touting the bigger and better version ofMi Notebook Air. There is unfortunately still no word for the device to be available globally, obviously apart from China.

Features

The device comes with LTE Cat. 4 4G connectivity support and is and is capable of delivering download speeds up to 150mbps. Powered by Windows 10, the Home-based laptops were launched in collaboration with China Mobile and natively support the telecom operator’s networks without requiring a separate SIM card, meaning users can connect to the internet without needing Wi-Fi.Xiaomihas also officially declared they will be giving their users a free 4GB of 4G data every month, totaling to 48GB a year.

Full Specifications

The 12.5-inch variant comes in at 1.07 kg and is powered by an Intel Core M3 processor, coupled with a 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM (1866MHz), offers a 128GB SSD (SATA) storage along with additional SSD expansion slot, a 1080p FHD screen Edge-to-edge protective glass, KG dual speakers with Dolby Digital surround sound support and is powered by 37 Wh battery, which should last 11.5 hours.

Whereas, the 13.3-inch model weighs 1.28 kg and offers a sixth-generation Intel Core i7 (2 cores, 4 threads, max clock speed of 3.0GHz) processor, 8GB RAM and 256GB of SSD storage along with an expandable SSD slot, NVIDIA GeForce 940MX dedicated graphics card  with 1GB of GDDR5 VRAM, an elegant logoless exterior, personalize with stickers Mi Cloud Sync, Mi Band 2 unlocking, and a  40Wh battery will last 9.5 hours on a single charge.

Both of the models have a lightweight, slim and elegant metal body finish and run on the powerful Windows 10. They will be available with a 1080p display, a USB Type-C charging port, an HDMI port and a backlit keyboard. The variants will be available in two metallic colors, Gold or Silver.

Costing

When the Mi Notebook Air was originally launched his year, it held a price tag of CNY3,499 for the 12.5-inch variant. For the 13.3-inch variant, the price was CNY4,999.

The Mi Notebook 4G has been priced at CNY 4,699 while the 13.3-inch model has been priced at CNY 6,999.
