With Crackdown 3 set for release in February 2019, the Xbox One exclusive game looks to be recieving a bit of unconventional marketing syngery as Dynamite Comics also has plans to release its Crackdown inspired mini-series comic in the same month.

It’ll be an interesting feat to see how talented writers and artists pull a story out of this video game franchise, but judiging from this synopisis, they’re off to a good start.

The hyper-powered world of Crackdown has made its way to the comic page! In the not-so-distant future, civilized society is more plugged-in and interconnected than ever — but criminal organizations are growing more connected as well, forming unholy alliances, and plotting for an unprecedented campaign against the world. When a series of devastating blackout attacks plunge major metropolitan areas into darkness and chaos, the global population is terrified, traditional law enforcement is overwhelmed — and it’s up to The Agency, an elite international crime-fighting task force, to restore peace and deliver justice, by any means necessary.

Dynamite artist Ricardo Jaime took to Twitter to update fans about the upcoming relese.
