Major Nelsonhas taken to his blogto announce the biggest Xbox sale ever.  The sale will cover both Xbox One and Xbox 360, will begin on December 22nd, and will continue until January 9th, for a total of 19 days of deals on games, movies, TV shows, music, apps, and more.

As part of the Xbox Store Countdown, some of the year’s top games such as Final Fantasy XV, Battlefield 1, Watch Dogs 2 will all be on sale, as well as 40 backward compatible titles. Additionally, starting December 21st, and lasting until January 9th, Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners can upgrade to Gold for $1 for the first month of membership.  As an added bonus, Gold members can even get up to 10% off all Xbox Store deals during Countdown.

Movies and TV Season passes are also included in the Xbox Store Countdown, which means you can enjoy your favorite entertainment directly from your own Xbox. According to Major Nelson, more deals are coming soon later in the week, and will include:

Xbox Live Rewards members, meanwhile, can also enjoy some added bonuses from the Xbox Store Countdown. According to Major Nelson, Xbox Live Rewards members can get even more, such as 10% back on purchases with MyVIP, and the opportunity to boost their Star Rank for 2017. And, for some more Xbox Store Countdown fun, eligible customers will also receive 3 more months free with a 30-day trial of a Groove Music Pass.
