Microsoft’s earnings report from the first quarter of fiscal year 2017 has come in, and it shed a bit of light on the success of the Xbox One this past quarter. While the console had a rocky beginning as it first launched, it’s recently experienced some serious growth, with September beingits third month in a rowahead of the competition in sales.

According to the latest earnings report from Microsoft, that growth in sales has been accompanied by a 21% increase in active Xbox Live users, resulting in a total of around 47 million users.

This figure is huge for a console that’s already been out for quite a while and is more or less driven by the recent release of the Xbox One S, which has sparked interest in the console once again. All in all, Microsoft couldn’t have asked for a better way to kick off the 2017 fiscal year – these past few months have done a lot to inspire confidence in Xbox One users.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.

Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
