There’s a treat on the way for developers who make use of Windows Server, and it’ll be happening during theMicrosoft Ignite eventearly in this coming September. The new update will bring a suite of new changes to Windows Server, and comes in the wake of a new Insider build that launched just ashort while ago.

In a newblog poston the Windows Server blog, Microsoft confirmed that the next release of the server operating system will be labeled Windows Server version 1709, and it will officially launch at Ignite 2017. The major release “builds on the innovation in Windows Server 2016,” with a better focus on application innovation and security. Additionally, Windows Server will adopt the same release cycle as Windows 10 with the same two channels:
