Microsoft does a lot in order to make sure that things run smoothly for users, but they also drop big things for developers every once in a while. One such huge benefit for the developers among ushas just recently dropped, and it takes the form ofa new Bug Tracker.

The Bug Tracker does exactly what you think it does – it tracks bugs. The tracker tells you about several of the bugs that the team is working on, and it gives you insight into what kind of progress has been made as far as a fix is concerned. The tracker should do wonders for transparency, and ought to encourage developers to give more feedback.

On top of the tracker, we’re also getting access to a sneak peak atMicrosoft’s roadmap. The roadmap gives users a look at features that the team is working on and, like the bug tracker, gives updates on how far they’re coming along.

The two features are both part of an effort to get a little more transparent for developers who want to know the team that designs the Windows platform. Hopefully, these two features will be well-maintained – they have the potential to offer a lot of valuable information.
