Microsoft’s Windows Community Toolkit has just crossed one million downloads on GitHub, a new milestone for the tool previously known as the UWP Community Toolkit. Nikola Metulev, Senior Program Manager for UWP development at Microsoft announced the news on Twitter yesterday, teasing that more features would be coming soon.

The Windows Community Toolkit can be used for developers to be used to build UWP apps targeting any Windows 10 device, including PCs, phones, Windows Mixed Reality, Xbox One consoles and IoT devices. The toolkit received itsbiggest update yet two months ago with version 3.0, which introduced Fluent Design updates to existing controls with support for light and dark themes, and much more.

Developers wanting to get started with the Windows Community Toolkit can learn more onGitHubor thissupport page. With more than 150 contributors, the project is seeing frequent updates and it should continue to be a great resource for UWP app development.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.

Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
