Windows and Surface revenue up 13% in Microsoft FY22 Q3 earnings

Microsoft’searnings reportis out for the third quarter of the 2022 fiscal year, and it looks to be another good result for the company, which reported $49.4 billion in revenue, an increase of 18 percent year over year.
Specifically, Microsoft’s “More Personal Computing” organization reported overall revenue of $14.5 billion, an11 percent increase year over year. Surface and Windows also met expectations, with Surface reporting a 13 percent increase, and Windows OEM reporting an 11 percent increase.
Microsoft says Windows OEM revenue was strong this quarter thanks to continue demand in the commercial PC market, which has a higher revenue per license. Specifically, Windows Commercial products and cloud services revenue grew 14 percent, thanks to Microsoft 365.
