AdDuplex has been keeping a keen eye onWindows 11’s market share. Before the operating system had even formally launched, the network had figures on roughly 60,000 PCs and were able to report thatover 1% of themwere on W11 ahead of October 5. Then, by the end of October, AdDuplex had new figures based on the same 60,000 sampling size. As of the end of launch month, Windows 11 had made it ontoover 5% of surveyed PCs.

Now, the numbers for the end of November are available, and we can see that, based onAdDuplex’s latest report, a little under 9% of PCs are now on Windows 11.

Normal Windows 11 controls 8.6% of the action, with Windows 11 Insiders constituting 0.3%. Windows 10 21H2 users make up 3.7% of the approximately 60,000s studied, while Windows 10 21H1 and 20H2 still control the lion’s share of the market.

These numbers aren’t luck-driven; Microsoft has made a concerted effort to get PC users up to speed on the factWindows 11 existsand is ready to be downloaded. Beyond just about every PC manufacturer under the sun advertising their machine as having the new operating system onboard, the Redmond-based tech giant itself has alsoflexed its advertising musclesa bit to get people’s attention. Though, for many, its Windows 11 marketing stunts still don’t compare to what the company funded forForza Horizon 5’s promotional efforts.
