Welcome back to our Windows 10 news recap. We are continuing the trend of our weekly “Windows 10 news recap” series where we go over the top stories of the past week in the world of Microsoft’s flagship operating system.
Windows XP regains some market share, Windows 7 drops, according to NetMarketShare
Taking a u-turn from May,June saw Windows XP regaining some previously lost market share in NetMarketShare’s statistics, while Windows 7 fell slightly.

Following multiple ransomware attacks lately,India is pressing Microsoft to discount Windows 10 upgrades, in order to encourage more people and businesses alike to upgrade to the latest, more secure operating system.
France drops privacy law complaints against Windows 10
Last year, France’s national information comission raised concerns about the data collected by Windows 10. At the time, Microsoft said that Windows 10 followed privacy regulations. Now, the commission has said thatMicrosoft has made changes that has reduced data collection by halfand that it now complies with privacy regulations.
Samsung Flow updated, now supports any Windows 10 PC, unlock a Windows 10 PC with a Samsung phone
Previously only available on Samsung-based Windows 10 PCs,Samsung is now bringing Samsung Flow to all compatible Windows 10 PCs, allowing PCs to be unlocked using a Samsung phone, as well as cross-device notifications, and more.
