Microsoft recently rolled out a newcumulative update,KB4493464, as part of theWindows 10 April 2018 Update.The update takes the existing OS version to build17134.706.
As a quick reminder, the company already announced this OS versionwould no longer receive new delta updatesin the future. However, Microsoft promised it would keep on offering quality and security updates.
The big M didn’t introduce any new system features this time butKB4493464 came with a handful of improvements alongside some bug fixes.

A bundle of security updates
KB4493464 brings some important security updates for the Windows App Platform and Frameworks, Windows Server, Windows Storage, Windows Virtualization, Windows Kernel, Windows Graphics, and other system components.
Fix for unresponsive apps
KB4493464 addresses another important issue related to MSXML6applications. Previously, applications that were using MSXML6 were not responding in a few situations. This issue usually occurred during node operations as a result of an exception.
Stop error fixes
A stop error has also been fixed inKB4493464 that was introduced by the previous builds. Users experienced this error when they tried to start the Secure Shell (SSH) client program from Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL).
IE 10 bug fix
Users reported an issue regarding the Group Policy editor. When a user attempted to edit a Group Policy Object (GPO) that specifically contained Group Policy Preferences (GPP) for Internet settings of IE10, an error occurred. You should no longer experience such issues after installing KB4493464.

Furthermore, Microsoft also listed some known issues related toKB4493464. For example, users might experience some launch issues for custom URI schemes for application protocol controllers.
