Microsoft rolled out a bevy of interesting updates onPatch Tuesday. Unfortunately, not allWindows 10users have managed to install the latest patches. ManyWindows 10Fall Creators Update users reported thatKB4074588often fails to install due to various error codes.
KB4074588 won’t install
If you successfully downloaded KB4074588 on your computer but you goterror 0x80070bc2after restart, well you’re not the only one.
Judging by the number of user reports, it seems that this is the most common error that’s preventing users from updating their OS. Unfortunately, fixing it is not an easy task, as thisWindows 10user reports:
I have done everything that the Microsoft Computer has told me to do to correct this problem except the last one which is a clean install! None of them have worked. I did send an work order to my virus protection company. Will be waiting to hear back from them. Once i got the update KB4074588, i restarted my pc like normal and upon startup, the update got to 90% and then it said “couldn’t complete the updates, undoing changes”.

I tried to install this file but when I restart, it goes to 100% but the it shows “We couldn’t complete update KB4074588.
