It’s time for December Patch Tuesday. During this month’s Patch Tuesday, Microsoft released the new cumulative update KB4053578 for Windows 10 version 1511. The new update changes the OS build number to 10586.1295.

Since this is a cumulative update, there are no new Windows features to be excited about. The update just fixes some system issues and bugs caused by some previous updates. Perhaps the biggest highlight of the update is a fix time zone info issues, that some users reported in the past.

Once again, since this is a cumulative upadte, you’ll also get all the bug fixes and system improvements featured in previous cumulative updates that you missed. So, by installing this release, you’ll get your computer fully up to date.

Addresses additional issues with updated time zone information.

Addresses issue that affected some Epson SIDM (Dot Matrix) and TM (POS) printers, which were failing to print on x86-based and x64-based systems. This issue affectsKB4048952.

Security updates to the Microsoft Scripting Engine, Microsoft Edge, and Windows Server.

Along withKB4053578 for Windows 10 v1511, Microsoft also released cumulative updates for all supported versions of Windows 10, including: cumulative updateKB4054517for Windows 10 v1705 (Fall Creators Update), cumulativeKB4053580for Windows 10 v1703, and cumulative updateKB4053579for Windows 10 version 1607.
