In a different kind of holiday ad, Microsoft showcases the power of its new Adaptive Controller to let everyone play Xbox One. You can check out the ad below (via Tom Warren):

According to theYouTube video description, the ad shows Owen, a nine-year-old with Escobar syndrome, which limits his mobility, play a game on Xbox One. Microsoft’s commitment to accessibility shows that “when everyone plays, we all win.” The ad shows off the power of the Xbox Adaptive Controller, allowing people with disabilities to play games on Xbox One.

In the ad, all of Owen’s friends come to his house upon word of his pending Xbox achievement. The ad ends with Owen succeeding and all of his friends celebrating, capped off by as Tom Warren puts it, an “epic floss.” This Microsoft ad epitomizes the spirit of the holiday season and shows off Microsoft’s mission to create accessible technology that allows everyone to participate. It would have been nice to see what Xbox game Owen was playing, but it is a great way for Microsoft to kick off the holiday season.
