Shortly after unleashing Windows 10 Insider build 16288 for Fast Ring (not Skip Ahead) Insiders, the build has apparently run into some problems. The Windows Insider team just tweeted on the issue:

Hello Insiders! For those of you who aren’t able to download the 16288 PC Fast build, we’re investigating the root cause. More info soon!

— Windows Insider (@windowsinsider)September 12, 2017

When trying to access the latest build on a Surface Pro 4 currently on 16281.rs3_release here, Windows Update sees the new build, begins initializing for just a few seconds, and then bails out to this message:

Not sure whether this message is the cause of the concern, or if the build has been pulled while the team investigates. Have you been able to successfully download and install build 16288?

UPDATE: The PC build issue is fixed! Each variant will go live as it finishes publishing. ETA ~2 hours for variants to become available.
