E3 2017 brought a lot of goodies and one of the best was the world premiere of theXbox One X, a console created for truly immersive4K gaming, the ultimate in compatibility and plenty of unique technologies.
Meet the Xbox One X
At the E3, Phil Spencer revealed the Xbox One X, the newest member of the Xbox One device family that will offer gamers incredible performance at a price of $499. The fantastic console will begin to roll out to users on November 7 of this year.
The Xbox One X will come with a 1TB hard drive, anXbox Wireless Controller, an HDMI cable, and a power supply, a free one-month Xbox Game Pass subscription and a free 14-day Xbox Live Gold membership.
The console’s design echoes the sleek elements seen in the Xbox One S, with the Xbox One X coming in black. According to Microsoft, it’s not only going to be the most powerful console ever created by the company, but also the smallest.
It will include a 4K UHD Blu-Ray player, a built-in power supply, three USB 3.0 ports and an IR blaster. You’ll be able to place it vertically or horizontally with an optional stand.
From Xbox One S to the Xbox One X
Users who already own anXbox One Swill be able to transfer all the cables over to the new console as it features port locations designed to be an easy plug-and-play swap in their already existing gaming setup.
It will feature 40% more power than any other console and it will sport a 6-teraflop Scorpio engine.
Developers will be able to create fantastic worlds in vibrant 4K for 1080p screens. The console is targeted for true 4K gaming and combines 2160p frame buffers, Wide Color Gamut, and High Dynamic Range.
Total compatibility
It will be compatible with all accessories and Xbox One games already out, including Xbox Play Anywhere titles and Backward Compatible Xbox 360 games. The Xbox One X will also include the benefits that come with the Xbox Live.
The Xbox One X will cost $499 and the price of Xbox One S is currently dropping. Spencer himself announced that it would retail for approximately $249.
