Perhaps, it’s the evolving nature of the Insider program or the seeming lack of upvote and bug reporting participation but it looks like the Windows Insider team is finding new ways to foster valuable feedback from the community.

Instead of relying on Insiders to chime in with their wants, needs, and suggestions via the feedback hub, the Windows team is tossing ina complementary survey to gauge how they might deliver core OS appsto testers in the future.

Windows Insiders running the latest Insider Preview builds have also been able to try out early versions of Windows apps like Mail and Calendar, Skype, Photos and People. In an effort to improve this experience, we’re asking Insiders to complete a quick survey. The survey only takes 1-3 minutes to complete. As with all our surveys, the feedback you provide will not be will not be shared outside of Microsoft or associated with any personal information unless you choose to provide your Microsoft account email (MSA). Feedback from this survey will help us enhance the app preview experience with more timely app updates, more informative news announcements and other benefits.

For those of you who have yet to try out the new build or take the survey, I may be ruining the experience by saying it takes a little more than 3 minutes to complete but is fairly straightforward and the line of questioning is very concise. If you like getting early access to features in the Mail, Photos, Edge and more, then give the survey a quick spend and help let the Windows team know we want our app feature updates more often than we’re currently getting them.
