The original Xbox was released exactly 15 years ago today, and to celebrate this, a couple of Microsoft employees are having fun on Twitter, talking about the console and revealing some interesting stuff from the past.

According to atweet from Aaron Greenberg, the head of the Xbox Games marketing division, the original Xbox was an “X”, literally. As Greenberghas taken over the official Xbox Snapchataccount for today, expect more to come.

This is pretty interesting to see that something like this was in the works at first, however, it’s just as great to see that this prototype never made it to regular consumers, because who would want a gigantic “X” in their living room?

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.

Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
