TensorFlowis an open source software library that uses data flow graphs for numerical computations. TensorFlow was originally developed by Google engineers and researchers to develop machine learning and deep neural networks research.

TensorFlow is used by Google for speech recognition for Google Now, Google Photos, Gmail, and Google Search. Here’s a look at how TensorFlow helped Google improve their capabilities.

Available as a pre-release on GitHub, TensorFlow is now available on Microsoft Windows. So far, TensorFlow is tested and operational on Windows 10, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2016. Also, TensorFlow supports two languages; C++ and Python (via a pip package). For GPU acceleration, CUDA 8.0 and cuDNN 5.1 are supported. TensorFlow on Windows does have some known limitations. At this time, you are not able to load a custom op library, and GCS and HDFS file systems are not supported.
