Telstra,Australia’slargest telecommunications company, has just signed a major deal with Microsoft that will allow them to be the exclusive service provider forOffice 365’sphone call functionality.
The company will be launching a new product called, Telstra Calling for Office 365, in the middle of this year which will allow clients to make traditional telephone calls from within Office 365 apps such as Skype for Business and Microsoft Teams. Telstra Calling for Office 365 is said to be a standalone product, not bundled with any other Telstra service.
“Launching a product like this caters for, not just the large enterprises, but more importantly the hundreds and hundreds of thousands of Australian organisations that will need to re-plumb and rewire their communications and collaborations environment ahead of a number of things changing in the market like the NBN,” said Telstra’s executive director of global products, Michelle Bendschneider, in an interview with theFinancial Review. “We’re going after opportunity that is close to the core of the business we know and understand deeply, but also embraces technology that is close to the type of business that we know how to serve really, really well.”

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.
Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
