The Sticky Notes app on Windows 10 is already great for those moments when you want to drop down a quick idea for later, but a new update is making it even handier. Indeed, Microsoft has released a new version of Sticky Notes on Windows 10, bringing a new color picker UI and options to change font size.
We’re not seeing this update on any of our Windows Insider or Production ring machines just yet, but Microsoft’s Jen Gentleman recently tweeted about the new version of the app, saying itshould be rolling out now. According to Gentleman, the update brings the latest version of Sticky Notes to version 2.1.3.0.

The new color picker UI can be found by pressing on the (…) at the top right side of a sticky note. Long time users will see the update now replaces the round color picker palettes with more squarer colors. The update also removes the settings cog from the bottom left side of a note to a dedicated area on the top right side of the color picker palettes.
Definitely great to see that Microsoft is refining the experience of the Sticky Notes app. While these new features are always appreciated, we’re still hoping that Microsoft can one day add a backup and sync feature in the application. What new features do you want to see in the Sticky Notes app? Let us know your thoughts below.
