What you need to know
Sony recently founded a PlayStation PC LLC brand, a branch of PlayStation for PC games to be published under. This change can be seen on the Steam page forDays Gone, which now shows PlayStation PC LLC as the publisher, instead of PlayStation Mobile which was previously there.
This change doesn’t seem to have fully taken effect. At the time this is being written, the Steam pages for Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War still show PlayStation Mobile as the publisher.
Sony has shown more willingness to bring its games to PC over the last couple of years, withPlayStation Studioshead Hermen Hulst indicating that a PS4 orPS5game can come to PC somewhere around two to three years after launch. Sony alsorecently acquired Nixxes, a Dutch team with experience porting games to PC, something that Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan says will aid in bringing games to PC.
The next game being ported is Sony Santa Monica’s God of War, which is currently slated to arrive on Jan. 14, 2022, ahead of the sequel,God of War Ragnarok. Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is also slated to hit PC at some point in early 2022.
A new world to explore
The 2018 God of War sees Kratos as a father, trying to hide his past while raising his son in the harsh world of Norse mythology. Now, you can play it on PC.
