Despite the Skype team recently experimenting with its own version of Snapchat Stories, Microsoft hasn’t forgotten that Skype remains a “prosumer” app. Today, the team announcedSkype for Content Creators, a new mode in the Windows 10 and Mac Skype apps that will allow users to record and live stream calls without needing to invest in expensive software.
“With Skype for Content Creators, Windows 10 and Mac users will be able to select the Content Creators mode to place and record calls directly within NDI®–enabled software such as Wirecast, Split and Vmix,” the Skype team explained. “Once the call is recorded, content can be easily imported into apps such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Audition for editing.”
The new solution seems quite flexible, and the Skype team added that creators will be able to customize the look and feel of the calls. Skype for Content Creators is currently in preview and will be generally available this summer. Microsoft will also showcase the feature at the NAB Show in Las Vegas next week.

Radu Tyrsina has been a Windows fan ever since he got his first PC, a Pentium III (a monster at that time).
For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.
Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
