Now that the Windows 10 Creators Update is available, many are wondering what is next in the pipeline for the folks at Microsoft. While some rumors have shown that Microsoft may hold ahardware event sometime this Spring,Mary Jo Foley at ZDNethas just learned that Microsoft is reportedly set to send out invitations to a May press event focused on Windows 10 Cloud.

According to the report, the Spring event is codenamed “Bespin,” and is timed for early May.  While Microsoft has not commented on a Spring launch event, rumors indicatethe companywill notdiscuss a new Surace Book 2 at this event and instead focus onWindows Cloud, the leaked UWP and Windows Store apps only edition of Windows 10, which the company has not publicly acknowledged.  The rumors also show that Microsoft may indeed have a new Surface device to show off at the Bespin event.

Again, lots of rumors are floating, and Foley believes that whileSurface Book 2is in the pipeline, it won’t be ready for the event, especially since Microsoft is more focused on selling the Surface Book and Surface Book with Performance Base. Her sources also believe that theSurface Pro 5 launchcould happen, but the device might be more “evolutionary than revolutionary” with just Kaby Lake chips and no USB C or new power ports. Given that Windows 10 will be coming to ARM devices, there is also the possibility that Microsoft may unveil a new Surface-branded (perhaps Surface 4?) hybrid device to show off at the Bespin event, possibly running Windows 10 Cloud.
