Robocraft Infinity to launch on Xbox One with 4K and 60 FPS support

In the sea of upcoming video games to be enhanced for theXbox One X, not all titles will be able to run in both 4K and 60 FPS. But today, we can add Robocraft Infinity to the list of games that will reach that sweet spot, which already includes Forza Motorsport 7, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, FIFA 18 and more.

Speaking withGamingBolt, Robocraft Infinity producer Phil Davidson shared that “we aim to support both 4k and 60fps when we launch on Xbox One X. This obviously presents new challenges to the team as we’re updating the core game code that is now almost 5 years old but we think you’ll be pleasantly surprised with just how good Robocraft Infinity will look running at 4k.”

For those unfamiliar, Robocraft Infinity will be an enhanced version of the robot building game Robocraft released on Windows a couple of years ago. Indie developer Freejam Games plan to release Robocraft Infinity on Xbox One and Windows 10 in Q1 2018, with special enhancements for the Xbox One X as well asXbox Play Anywheresupport.

“Robocraft Infinity has been based off the original Robocraft code base with numerous improvements made to it, both in terms of performance, usability and features,” explained Davidson. “The core game will run on a dual-core i3 so the more power have had to play with the faster we can make it run. We’re still able to support the low-end machines that will potentially run it on the Windows 10 version while the Xbox One X allows us to support 4K,” said Davidson.

The original Robocraft game already has over 10 million registered players worldwide, and the upcoming Xbox One and Windows 10 release is great news for fans of robot combat. If you’re interested in the game, you can sign up for updates on thededicated website.
