What you need to know
We’ll need to wait a bit longer before getting our hands on the upcoming Dead Space revival, according to a new report.
TheDead Space remakewas officially announced back at EA Play 2021 after being reported on for months. No official release window was ever given, but GamesBeat reported that the game was being internally targeted for October 2022. Now, it appears that won’t be the case, with a new report fromGamesBeatindicating that the game is targeting “early 2023.”
Developer Motive Studios has been open and transparent about the game’s development process, sharing anearly look at gameplay footageand some of the changes coming to the game, as well as confirming the return of Gunner Wright as the voice actor for protagonist Isaac Clarke. Motive Studios is sharing another update for the game on March 11, 2022.
The Dead Space remake is coming exclusively toXbox Series X,Xbox Series S,PS5and PC, so it’s solely available on current-generation systems.
No release window has been officially confirmed yet, so we’ll have to wait and see what EA and Motive Studios announce in the coming months. I’ve previously written about howI’m excited for the Dead Space remake, but EA has a lot to prove. Depending on how the game’s development goes, it could end up being one of thebest Xbox horror gamesavailable.
