PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (also called PUBG) was thenumber one selling video gameon the Xbox One family of consoles last week according to GfK Chart – Track. This ranking is limited to physical sales so it’s unclear exactly how well the game sold digitally though we do know it’sbeen doing pretty damn well overall.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds was one of the biggest video games of 2017 on PC and came toXbox Onein a Game Preview (aka open beta) version in December that same year. PUBG is still in Game Preview but that hasn’t stopped millions of players (literally) buying the game and diving in.
In addition to having a huge following who had been wanting to play it on a home console like the Xbox One,PUBG is also relatively cheapcompared to most other major releases. It’s currentlyalmost one third the price of Call of Duty: WWIIfor example.
