Over the weekend, Xbox announced that the tech giant’s favorite console was shifting its latest Insider Alpha build over to Beta. One of the major additions in the upcoming Creators Update for Xbox includesBeam, the in-game streaming service. After only a couple of days of the Beta build being released, Head of Xbox Mike Ybarra shared that over 200k members of the program have already updated.
Beam broadcasting now going out to over 200,000 Insiders on Xbox. Get your beam on!#Xbox

The tweet not only promotes Beam, but gives us a bit of insight into how many users are on the Alpha/Beta Xbox Insider rings.
As for Beam, Microsoft has been very vocal about it recently as we near the expected full release in April. With Beam, players will be able to simply click a broadcast icon to share their game, chat with viewers, and manage the stream seamlessly in their Xbox experience.
To keep in par with the full feature parity that the company is striving for across devices, Beam will also be available for Windows 10. In fact, it is already available for theWindows 10 Insider Previewin the Fast ring.
According to thechangelog, not much else was added into the build besides the new network icon and general fixes. If you’d like to get your hands on the features of Beam and the rest of the beta for Xbox One, you can become an Xbox Insider Program member by downloading the Xbox Insider Hub. Once it is finished, you’ll be able to select the preview build you want.
