New screenshots revealed for System Shock remake set for next year

Nightdive Studios shared on Tuesday that the System Shock remake is now slated to arrive in 2022. The studio is partnering with Prime Matter in order to publish this reimagining of the classic horror game on PC and consoles. Additionally, there’s several new screenshots that give a better idea of just what is coming. You can check out all the new screenshots in the gallery below:
“System Shock has been a true labour of love and our goal has always been to deliver a game that is as close to perfect as we can make it,” said Stephen Kick, founder and CEO of Nightdive Studios. The System Shock remake is currently available for preorder on PC via Steam, GOG and the Epic Games Store. Exact console platforms have not been specified, but it’s referred to as a “multi-platform release,” meaning it’s fair to expect it’ll be available onXbox Series X,Xbox Series SandPS5.
2022 is looking like a strong year for horror titles, as Striking Distance Studios’The Callisto Protocolis currently slated to arrive somepoint in the year, while Motive Studios’Dead Space remakeis also rumored to arrive in 2022.
Biomechanical horror returns
The System Shock remake is set to deliver a faithful reinterpretation of the original game, with modern controls and combat that redefine the science-fiction horror of SHODAN.
