What you need to know
Two new 14-inch Acer Swift notebook refreshes are on the way. There’s the Acer Swift 5 and Swift 3, both of which pack 12th Gen Intel Core processors, Intel Iris Xe graphics, and thin, light frames.
Where the machines differ is in their hardware and prices. The Swift 3 features a 16:9 display that, at the lowest tier, is FHD, while the Swift 5 packs a 16:10 WQXGA display with an impressive 92.22% screen-to-body ratio andEvo certification. Pricing varies drastically between the two. You can get a Swift 3 starting at $849 while you’ll need almost double that to score a Swift 5, which starts at $1,499.

HavingIntel’s latest 12th gen processorsis a boon, as is the Swift 5’s aspect ratio (if you’re a fan of additional screen real estate), but given that some of the specs have yet to be disclosed it may be worth waiting on setting aside money until more information trickles in.
Both the Swift 3 and Swift 5 are set to arrive in North America in June 2022, so if you’re waiting on the latest refreshes of Acer’s thin notebooks, you won’t have to hold in place much longer.
