Minecraft Steve and Alex are getting amiibo figures for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

TheSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate roster already includes Steve and AlexfromMinecraft, but today’s final Super Smash Bros. Ultimate stream revealed that the blocky duo isn’t quite done with Nintendo’s epic fighting game. Towards the end of the stream, it was announced that both Steve and Alex are getting amiibo figures, which will undoubtedly make amiibo collectors happy.
While it wasn’t revealed how the Steve and Alex amiibo will operate, it’s relatively safe to assume the pairing will work much the same way asother Super Smash Bros. Ultimate amiibo. The Steve amiibo is slated for release in Spring 2022, but it wasn’t explicitly confirmed if the Alex amiibo will appear at the same time, or at a later date. Regardless, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate players and amiibo collectors alike will have reason to look out for the Minecraft heroes.
I recently discussedwhat other games Mojang Studios could make, but it’s clear Nintendo already nailed the fighting genre by including Steve and Alex. Now, their highly collectible amiibo will likely join thebest Minecraft toys and giftsaround when they release sometime next year. Nintendo also revealed that several other recent additions to the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster will get amiibo variants, but Steve and Alex were the headlining pair.
