According toa report from the Economic TimesMicrosoft is looking to bring AR, VR, IR, and Machine Learning to the more than 22,000 students in Bengaluru, India (known also as Bangalore) as soon as this month.

In partnership with service regional service provider Tech Avant-Garde, Microsoft is initiating what it’s calling BBMP Roshini, which will provide state-of-the-art technology to the 40 primary and highschools in the BBMP in Bengaluru.

According to a press release, not only will schools be inudated with brand new technology solutions, but training for teachers will be part of the project that center around learning new skills and encourage community participation.

“The teachers will also be trained on the 21st Century skills (classroom of the future) and the parents will be involved in activites of the schools. Experts for the local community will be encouraged to get involved in experimental learning.”

Since this went into effect offically on September 26, 2018, organizers have already started prilimary canvassing activites that include gathering participating teacher and student numbers as well as how the program will impact established infrastructures.
