Microsoft tapping Pegatron as its high end Surface AIO manufacturer

Just a little over two weeks out from what many believe to be Microsoft’s fall showcase of hardware of sorts, images, FCC filing, and production leaks are surfacing regarding what the company may haveplanned to discuss for its October event.

As long been rumored, Microsoft’s Surface team has been tediously toiling away at constructing the next device in the company’s high-end computing line up; projected to be a newly branded All-in-One device carrying the recognizable Surface brand cache.

Putting further credence behind the notion of a Surface AIO device coming from Microsoft shortly is a new report claiming the company has peggedwell known Apple iPhone and previous Surface device manufacturer Pegatronto build the new computer.

According to arough translation of China’s Economic Daily News, Microsoft will once again be working with Pegatron to build its Surface AIO. Once again, Pegatron will be crafting another Surface device after its brief manufacturing stint with the Surface Pro 2 tablets that hit retail chains over three years ago.

Also noted in the Economic Daily News report is the mention of a possible production line taking shape within Pegatron for the construction of anticipated Surface Pro 5 and Surface Book 2 devices slated for public release sometime in early 2017.

Again, while much of this remains hearsay until devices are on the shelves, it’s interesting to think that Microsoft would mix up its arguably successful recipe of manufacturing Surface devices to include Pegatron again, especially in light of recent 3rdparty construction mishaps.

Whatever the case may be, it will be interesting to see what the company has to show off in a couple of weeks.
