Windows Vista currently has a total market share of 0.72%. Most likely, more and more Vista users will upgrade their computers in the near future as Microsoft justended support for the OS. We’re sure that for many users this fact constitutes a good enough incentive to upgrade.
In other words, the Redmond giant will no longer release security patches, non-security updates, or any other kind of support for Vista.
Microsoft has provided support for Windows Vista for the past 10 years, but the time has come for us, along with our hardware and software partners, to invest our resources towards more recent technologies so that we can continue to deliver great new experiences.
The company rolled out the verylast Windows Vista updatesthis Patch Tuesday. More specifically, Microsoft pushed 12 dedicated updates to this OS version.
