Following the release of theWindows 10 Insider build 17677last week, Microsoft has just announced that 17677 builds for Windows Server 2019 and the Windows 10 SDK are now available for Insiders. For Windows Server users, this latest build is available for both Windows Server 2019 and Windows Server version 1809, which is the next semi-annual channel release.

In theblog post, Microsoft’s Brandon LeBlanc mentioned some improvements for the performance history feature of Storage Pages Direct as well as other changes to reduce Windows Server Core image size. As usual, Windows Insiders can download this build from theWindows Server Insider Preview download page.

As for the new Windows 10 SDK, thebuild 17677introduces some important changes to the C/C++ ETW code generation of mc.exe (Message Compiler), but there are also some known issues to be aware of: Microsoft notes that enabling Developer Mode through the For Developers settings page is broken in this build, and Windows Device Portal is also unavailable. You can download this latest build from the developer section of theWindows Insider website, though you may want to skip this build if you need the aforementioned features.
