In a post on LinkedIn, Microsoft President Brad Smith takes stock of the issues that faced the tech industry in 2018 and looks ahead listing the top 10 issues that the tech industry will need to address for 2019. It seems as if there is a new privacy leak or issue on an almost daily basis. Recently,Amazon and Ring doorbellsare once such alarming privacy example.

Artificial intelligence and machine learning are just beginning to show what they can do to reap benefits for the technology world. With and without proper governance by the tech industry of these technologies, AI, machine learning, and other emerging technologies can bring big positives as well as unforeseen negatives on people and the world as a whole.
