Yesterday we reported thatMicrosoft would no longer acceptBitcoin as a form of payment online. Though the company said it was “temporary” measure Microsoft has since pushed back and restored the ability for users to reload their Microsoft account balances using Bitcoin (via Thurrott.com.)
Since the original reports surfaced, Microsoft apparently worked with their provider to correct any issues, and is now once again accepting Bitcoin. A statement from a Microsoft spokesperson confirmed this.
“We’ve restored Bitcoin as a payment option in our store after working with our provider to ensure lower Bitcoin amounts would be redeemable by customers.”
Bitcoin is a bit of a wild currency, especially because values tend to fluctuate higher and then lower every day, and because there is a transfer fee involved. Microsoft previouslystopped accepting Bitcoinback in 2016, only to pull back and once again accept ittwo days later.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.
Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
