Microsoft announces May 23 event in Shanghai

Following on from its recent education-focused event this week, as well as Build upcoming,Microsoft is hosting another event, this time on May 23rd, in Shanghai. According to reports, new hardware will be announced at the event.

Microsoft Teams is being specialized for classrooms

Microsoft has announced that a new classroom experience will be coming to Microsoft Teams and that it will be included in the free Office 365 for Education offer, as itbegins to specialize Microsoft Teams for educationand the classroom.

Microsoft’s Chief Experience Officer Julie Larson-Green leaves the Office team due to health reasons

The Chief Experience Officer for Microsoft’s Office team, Julie Larson-Green, isto leave the Office team for health reasons. In a statement, Larson-Green said:

It’s been challenging to continue to lead the Office Experience Organization and dedicate the required time to my rehabilitation. It’s going to take some time for my recovery from my spinal surgery but I’m excited to continue to represent Microsoft and push the boundaries of how the company reimagines productivity.

Microsoft Teams gets an update on iOS, adds immersive video calls, tailored iPad UI

The chat-based workspace, Microsoft Teams, hasreceived an update on iOS that adds several new features and improvements, such as immersive video calls, improved UI on Apple’s iPad, improvements to the image viewer and more.
