Over the past couple of months, theWindows Insider programhas evolved into something much bigger than a beta testing program for Windows enthusiasts. Under the leadership of Dona Sarkar, the Windows Insider team launched the#Insiders4Goodinitiative, aiming to bring together Windows Insiders wanting to solve problems creatively through the use of Microsoft products.

Last September, the Windows Insider teamtraveled to Lagos, Nigeria to create the fist #Insiders4Good Fellowship, selecting local 25 entrepreneurs with inspiring ideas to do some good in the area. “We’re not done learning yet. Not even close. In fact, we’re doubling down,” explained yesterday Dona Sarkar in theblog postannouncing the Windows 10 preview build 15025.

Indeed, the Windows Insider teamannouncedyesterday the creation of an #Insiders4Good East Africa Fellowship at the NexTech Africa Conference in Nairobi, Kenya: once again, the team is looking for 25 entrepreneurs from from Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda that will be offered a suite of Microsoft hardware and software plus a 6-month mentorship program:

We are calling all East African entrepreneurs with projects in the early stage to apply to become part of our second cohort of #Insiders4Good Fellows. Twenty-five entrepreneurs will be selected and will receive a premier suite of Windows hardware and software, and a 6-month mentorship program will be kicked off by a special one-week learning event for Fellows and mentors. The 6-month mentorship will include tailored technical and strategic mentorship from local and international leaders to help bring your unique idea to the next level.

Windows Insiders that have an idea for a product or service that will improve the lives of East African people can apply until March 31, 2017 on thededicated website. “We look forward to deepening our relationships with these exceptional entrepreneurs across East Africa and to supporting their goals with this Fellowship,” added Sarkar.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.

Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
