With every passing day, new complaints about Windows 10 pile up. This time, many users have reported their computers restart spontaneously, without warning.This bug also known as “dirty shutdowns” causes the system to shut off and sometimes even reboot. As stated before, there is no warning sign, the bug does not produce any blue screen. However, reports suggest this happens especially when users run resource intensive games or apps.

Of course, having a dirty shutdown while working on a very important document is extremely annoying. Therefore, avoid installing Windows 10 on the computer you use at your office. Safety first!

Unfortunately, the Microsoft team does not have many information about the cause of this strange behavior since not much data is given when a Windows system performs a dirty shutdown. In other words, engineers cannot collect data on the bug causing these spontaneous shutdowns, since there is no crash dump created.

“We get less data on these because there is no crashdump so tougher to debut, but are fixing.”, says Microsoft’s Gabriel Aul on Twitter.

Don’t forget that Windows 10 comes with a very useful feature called Windows Feedback. If you have a strong technical background and you have an idea about how to solve this issue, don’t hesitate to send your feedback to Microsoft.

“Over the course of the next few builds, you will see us refine Windows 10 and continue to improve the experiences as well as quality and stability.”, says Gabriel Aul onMicrosoft’s official blog.

Although Microsoft has acknowledged the problem in mid-December already, the tech giant has not mentioned anything about releasing a fix in this January build. If you’ve already got your hands on this build, tell us if you’ve noticed any improvement.
