If you’re currently using the Arrow Launcher app on your Android device, you might want to head to the Google Play Store and check for an update. The folks over at Microsofthave just unleashedits biggest update yet and it’s jam-packed with lots of new features.
Overall, the latest updates pushes the newest version to 3.0.0.30855. New features include a new central hub that condenses many productivity functions, richer customization options, and improved battery efficiency. For the full details on what is new, you can check out the changelog below.
What’s New:
According to Microsoft, the new utility page is a central hub that condenses many of Arrow’s best productivity functions including recent activity, favorite contents, recent apps, reminders and documents. James Hsu, product lead on the Office Experience Org Mobile team, even notes that the update makes app launch 10 times faster, 20 percent more memory efficient, and 15 percent more battery efficient.
Also new are an extensive collection of wallpapers to match any mood or style; the ability to rename apps, change their logos or size, and hide them; and support for both horizontal and vertical page scrolling. In the newest version, Arrow users will also be able to search their phones or the web for apps, contacts, text messages, web results and more by swiping down from any screen. A new backup and restore feature also means that users won’t lose their custom settings after they install new builds of Arrow.
In case you didn’t know, Arrow is a project of Microsoft Garage, and is an Android launcher which makes it easy to find your favorite apps, keep in touch with friends, and stay on top of the important things in your life.
