A couple of hours ago, Microsoft kicked off its Windows Windows Hardware Engineering Community event (WinHEC) in Shenzhen, China where it announced pretty big news to close an already busy year for the company. First of all, Redmond haspartnered with Qualcomm to get Windows 10 running on ARM chips, which will allow third-party OEMs to build a new range of ‘always connected’ cellular-enabled devices that can run legacy Win32 apps through emulation.

Additionally, Microsoft also announced Project Evo, a new collaboration with Intel that willdeliver a new wave of modern PCs and experienceswith “all-new ways for devices to light up with the latest in advanced security, artificial intelligence and Cortana, mixed reality, and gaming.” Lastly, the Redmond giant finally delivered on the previous announcements it made about third-party mixed reality headsets during its Windows 10 event in late October: next year, Microsoft intends tomake mixed reality mainstreamby providing “inside-out tracking for HMDs, a single platform and standardized inputs for developers, and a consistent interface with a single store for customers.”

For those of you who want to watch the full keynote, Microsoft has just published the video on its Channel 9 website and you can watch it below:

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.

Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
