Many users were affected by an issue with January 2022’s Patch Tuesday, the second Tuesday of the month wherein Microsoft releases cumulative updates for Windows operating systems. This recent Patch Tuesday introduced security updates forWindows 11and 10 as well as the unintentional problem ofbreaking some users' VPN connections.

There are now patches out to addressJanuary’s Patch Tuesdaypredicament, direct from Microsoft. As noted byBleepingComputer, you’ll need to go to theMicrosoft Update Catalogto snag the KB5010794 update for Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 R2 as well as KB5010797 for Windows Server 2012.

If you’re on Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 7 SP1, or Windows Server 2008 SP2, you can grab your fresh patch from Microsoft as an optional update through the standard Windows Update area of your PC.
