Mass Effect Andromeda will not support Microsoft’s Project Scorpio

In an interview withStevivor, BioWare’s Michael Gamble spoke about his studio’supcoming video game, Mass Effect: Andromeda, and revealed that, while they will be discussing plans to enhance the video game for Sony’s PlayStation4 Pro console, they don’t currently have anything in the works forMicrosoft’s Project Scorpio.

“In the world of PS Pro, we do similar things where we say, ‘Okay, what are the strengths of the console, and how can we optimise to make that experience best for players?’ In terms of PS Pro, we’ll probably talk more technical about that in January or February,” he says in the interview. “For Scorpio, we have absolutely no plans right now. You never know what’ll happen after that.”

Project Scorpio is the current codename for the next iteration of theXbox One video game console. While it will still be within the same console generation and playall of the Xbox One games, Scorpio will boast significant upgrades that will enhance its processing power significantly. It’s speculated that many future Xbox One games will work on all Xbox One consoles but, like PC games, will be able to change their settings based on the hardware that’s playing them.
