The latest NPD results are in, revealing the games and hardware sold through the month of March 2022 in the U.S.
According to NPD analystMat Piscatella, fantasy role-playing titleElden Ringagain claimed the top spot on the charts, followed closely by Sony’s Gran Turismo 7 in second place. FromSoftware and Bandai Namco previously confirmed that Elden Ring has sold over 12 million copies so far, the best of any FromSoftware title by a wide margin. Sony San Diego’s MLB The Show 22 made it to fourth place, while Horizon Forbidden West, which held second place in theFebruary 2022 NPDresults, fell to the number five spot for March.
As for hardware, Xbox Series X|S consoles took the lead position in dollar sales for March 2022 and the first quarter of the year as a whole, while Nintendo Switch remained the best-selling console in units sold. This was the best
