Lenovo expanded its ThinkPad T series of laptops at Mobile World Congress today. The lineup of business laptops now includes a larger ThinkPad T16 as well as updates to the ThinkPad T14s Gen 3 and T14 Gen 3. Available with either 12th Gen Intel Core processors with optional vPro technology or AMD Ryzen PRO 6000 series CPUs, the new ThinkPad laptops will look to compete with thebest business laptops.

Thanks to thinner bezels and taller 16:10 displays, the new ThinkPad T series laptops fit more screen into similarly sized bodies to their predecessors. Depending on the model, T series laptops should hit up to 500 nits of brightness with 4K resolution. Multiple devices in the lineup support Dolby Vision HDR and feature low blue light technology. Resolution for the laptops maxes out at 2.8K, which is an option for the OLED display on the ThinkPad T14s.

Inside, AMD-powered ThinkPad T series laptops run on AMD Radeon 600m graphics. Intel models have up to Intel Iris Xe graphics with options for an NVIDIA MX 550 or RTX 2050.

If you prioritize portability, both the ThinkPad T14 and T16 will have options with 39.3Wh batteries. If you’re willing to carry a bit more weight to get longer battery life, models with 52.5Wh will also be available.

The ThinkPad T14 supports software-only human presence detection, a first according to Lenovo. That functionality uses ultrasound sensor technology by Elliptic Labs' AI Virtual Smart Sensor Platform.

In what is becoming more common in Lenovo’s ThinkPad laptops, the new T series devices support Tile’s finding features to help locate lost devices. Newer ThinkPad X1 models support the same functionality. The feature can locate a laptop for up to 14 days even if it’s turned off.

The ThinkPad T16 i and T14 i launch in April 2022 for $1,419 and $1,399, respectively. In May 2022, the ThinkPad T14s with AMD starts shipping for $1,399. The ThinkPad T14s i ($1,529), T16 AMD ($1,299), and T14 AMD ($1,299) are all available starting in June 2022.
