Ever since it was announced about two years ago, Windows Hello, Microsoft’s futuristic, personal, and password-free way of having users log into their Windows 10 devices has come a long way. While the feature is included with a number of devices, such as the HP Elite x3 (fingerprint scanner), the Lumia 950 and 950 XL (iris scanner), and the Surface Book/Surface Pro 4 (facial recognition), Windows Hello is still in beta.  It is fitting then that Dona Sarkar is now asking if the feature is ready to drop it’s beta tag and head out for an official release.

#WindowsInsiderswith Windows#Hellocapable devices, please set up and try it. The team would love to know if it’s time to be out of beta!

As seen in the Tweet above, Dona Sarkar is calling on Windows Insiders to give feedback on the Windows Hello feature, and to set it up and try it out. Considering the positive feedback seenin some replies to her initial tweet, this would appear to suggest that the technology has come far, and Microsoft may be considering releasing the technology out of the beta stage. Other Windows Insiders, however, put a damper on thingsand have suggestedthat Windows Hello is far from perfect, pointing out that the feature is far from perfect and lags on some devices such as the Lumia 950.

Have you used Windows Hello on your Windows 10 device? If so, do you think the feature is ready to drop it’s beta tag and officially be released? Let us know what you think and how the Windows Hello experience has gone for you by dropping us a comment below!

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.

Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
