Dealing with restaurants can be a pain, sometimes. Whether you just don’t want to talk to someone on the phone, have some specific questions that you can’t find the answers to online, or if it’s after-hours and you need to find something out, you can’t always rely on getting a hold of someone for all your questions. If you buy into Microsoft’s vision, this is where the new Bing Business Bots are supposed to come in (via VentureBeat.)
The Bing Business Bot is ready to go for restaurant owners who have been trying to make a better customer support framework. The process of setting it up is simple: the bot will ask you a few basic questions about your business (parking, open hours, etc.) and make a bot on Skype, and similar chat applications. When a customer asks one of those questions to the bot, it’ll provide the answer you gave it.
The bot will become smarter over time, too. If it’s asked a question it doesn’t know the answer to, it’ll come back to you and have you fill in the blank for future customers curious about the same thing. While the Bing Business Bot is currently only able to support restaurants, it’ll be expanding its horizons to other sectors of business in the near future.
